Getting there.
The Christchurch Gondola Base Station is located in the Heathcote Valley, just 15
minutes drive from downtown Christchurch. There is plenty of free parking for cars, motor-homes and coaches.
For those without a vehicle take the Best Attractions express shuttle from Cathedral Square. Departs from City Stop and arrives at the Gondola Base Station, $5 adult and $3 child for the return sector.
Or, buy the $15 adult/$10 child pass that is valid for 24 hours and allows you to travel to the Tram, International Antarctic Centre and Willowbank Wildlife Reserve (entry to attraction is extra). Or, catch the City Bus services - No. 28 Lyttelton bus departs from outside the
Colombo Street Bus Exchange, opposite Ballantynes. No. 35 Heathcote bus departs from inside the Bus Exchange on Colombo Street. Both depart every 15 minutes and are $2 for a 2 hour return ticket.

The Summit Café offers a complete range of snacks, casual meals and refreshments. Enjoy a cappuccino, latti, your choice of specialty coffee or a tipple from our range of wines, beers and spirits.
The Summit Café is a great place to relax and while away an hour or two admiring one of the greatest views in the world.
